Summer Is Coming.
Summers spent at the lake are the best!
You gain a whole new frame of mind. At the lake, you can’t help but get a perspective. Maybe it’s the sun. The lapping waves against the dock. Or the view down the lake from the base of a tree that’s shaded us for generations. Maybe it’s just the cold beer. One thing’s for sure: you can’t wait to get back for more.
When the weather is cold, and the skies are grey, our thoughts often turn to the warm golden days of summers past. You can’t help but get jazzed about summertime; it’s arguably the best season. Summer is undoubtedly the best season for spending time at the lake.
Close your eyes and think about summer. What comes to mind? Swimming in the lake, inner tubes, rope swings, bikinis, campfires, hot dogs, smores, grilling outside, barbeques, picnics, fish frys, family vacations, short shorts, wet puppies, lazy days spent fishing and drinking cold beer?
Warm summer weather, the best times to get outside. Unlike winter, spring, and fall, you never have to worry about the season being too cold to go to the lake. Summer is always warm and inviting, the days are longer, and somehow a cold beer will taste even better.
Some of my favorite memories are when we gather around a campfire with family and friends. Watch as the sun sets over the water, tell stories of our adventures, tall tales about the one that got away. Cooking hotdogs on long sticks, cold beers, and roasting marshmallows over the open fire.
